Yes!!!! There's no glory or honor in sacrificing ourselves at the expense of others, even our littles. Srsly, no one wins. Sure it may be hard to leave when their big brown eyes are staring up but they will be ok :) and is there anytuu more decadent than a daytime movie alone?!?!

Looking forward to talking more about this today in group! Wonderfully written from your tender strength! That speech was powerful and so important! Funnily enough, I experienced the push and pull feelings of guilt because I kept took my son in midday to connect with him before an important new therapy consult he had at 10am. I pushed the guilt away and did what I felt was right. I took him to Johnny’s donuts, for a little walk by the water and then after the 90 min appt., took him to In n Out! He felt so cared about and I knew what he needed. We get truancy letters from the school without Dr. vista reasons and its adds another level for me. Kids need mental health days and special morning breaks with mom/dad too! Thanks for more permission!
